Opportunity class

We are excited to announce that Doonside Public School will host an Opportunity Class (OC) from 2026! This program provides an enriching and stimulating learning environment for high potential and academically gifted students, allowing them to learn alongside like-minded peers.

Students in the OC will experience extension and enrichment opportunities that challenge their thinking, promote creativity, and support them in reaching their full potential. With a strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and higher-order thinking, the OC is designed to nurture students’ talents while encouraging them to thrive both academically and socially.

Opportunity classes are one of the ways that the department supports high potential and gifted students.
