Paint the Town REaD is an early Literacy community scheme that encourages the whole community to read, talk, sing and rhyme with children from birth, so that they will be ready for reading and writing at school. Doonside launched this program on Thursday 24th May at the Doonside Community Centre.
Students from Doonside Public School Aboriginal Dance Groups (Boys Group and Girls Group) opened the day with wonderful performances.
Children from Doonside Wingarra Preschool also enjoyed the day, participating in many activities including singing, dancing, stoytelling. They enjoyed the event along with children from other preschools.
