Students from 2-6 are learning water safety and survival skills through the Schools Swim Scheme during weeks 1 and 2 term 3. The program which runs over 2 weeks each year is an intensive water awareness and swimming program to assist students to develop essential water safety skills. Students are taught a range of skills and techniques and build water confidence and self esteem during the program. This year 43 Doonside Public School students are participating in the program from years 2 to 6, from beginning swimmers to students looking to enhance their water safety and swimming skills.
