Online Absence Form

The Education Act (1990) and https://policies.education.nsw.gov.au/policy-library/policies/school-attendance-policy requires parents to inform the school if their children will be absent from school on a school day and the reason for the absence..

Following an absence from school, you must ensure that within 7 days you provide your child’s school with a verbal or written explanation for the absence. However, if the school has not received an explanation from you within 2 days, the school may contact you to discuss the absence.

To facilitate this we now accept the completion of this online form or a written note to your child's class teacher. Please note the school may follow up and check absences as they deem necessary.

Extended Leave Please complete all pages if your child is going on extended leave in excess of 5 days. Forms are not required for leave under 5 days. Applications for extended leave are required to be submitted at least a week prior to the leave period. Relevant travel documentation such as an e ticket or itinerary (in the case of non flight bound travel within Australia only) must be attached to this application. Please note that approval of such leave is subject to Principal approval.
