Maths Mob 2016
Maths Mob provides an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) students in K-2 to use traditional ways of learning (8 ways) to make maths meaningful and enjoyable in their everyday lives. The learning activities are fun, hands-on and practical.
Maths Mob is run every week on Thursdays from 12:30pm to 1:15pm in the Aboriginal Room. Some activities will require students to work in different locations around the school i.e Gallery, Hall, Field.
Aunty Aileen accompanies and assists Mrs Celeste in the preparation and running of activities. Her knowledge of traditional ways of learning is invaluable.
Parents will be invited to attend special sessions of Maths Mob. We value your contribution and assistance and if you would like to regularly assist in Maths Mob you will need to have a current Working With Children Check (Volunteer).
