Orientation sessions for Kindergarten students enrolling in Kindergarten in 2012
are starting soon.
They are being held on:
Thursday, October 27th, 2011.
Thursday, November 3rd , 2011
Thursday, November 10th, 2011
Wednesday, November 16th,2011 – 12.00 (Family BBQ and Fun Day)
The sessions will begin in the Preschool room at 9.15 am and the children will be taken to the Kindergarten classroom. The sessions will conclude at 10.30 and morning tea will be supplied.
The aim of the program is to help prepare children for school in 2012. Children will become familiar with the school environment, routines and procedures and will have the opportunity to meet their fellow classmates and some of the teachers. The sessions also provide learning experiences that are fun and interesting.
On each of these Thursdays we will also provide general information sessions for parents. These sessions will take place in the Preschool. We will explain school procedures, uniform, canteen, the Library and some general guidelines on how you can assist with your child's learning. We will also be arranging enrolment interview times.
Our Orientation sessions provide parents and carers with an ideal opportunity to meet the staff and other parents, ask questions, express concerns and offer ideas in a friendly and supportive way.
