The school swim scheme will again operate in the latter half of term 4. The scheme operates for children in years 2 to 6. The scheme teaches water safety, survival skills and basic strokes . It is taught by qualified swim instructors through the Department of Education and Community Services.Students attend daily lessons for a two week intensive period.
The cost of the scheme will be similar to previous years and will not exceed $100. ( this figure is dependent on travel costs not increasing without notice). This equates to less than $10 per swimming lesson which is great value for money to equip students with essential water skills needed in our country.
Further information and final costings will be available shortly including a payment plan for budgeting. Interest in the scheme has already been high so places may fill quickly, so stay tuned. Mr Dawson will assist you with any questions you may have. The scheme has operated successfully out of our school for many years teaching students water safety and survival skills.
